Bridgewater Construction
When Bridgewater Construction’s owner asked me to redo his website, I declined. I did, however, offer to develop a marketing plan and execute it via website, social media, and e-marketing. He agreed, and three months later the campaign launched. He has doubled his business because of it.
The key: Understanding that in home remodeling, women are our target customer. We understand that women make decisions from an emotional perspective. So my campaign features photos of women (and sometimes their children and pets) in the kitchen or entertainment room they dreamed of. The message: “Trust Bridgewater to deliver your dream remodeling project.” The campaign includes a YouTube page with six videos featuring customer testimonials. Bridgewater-Construction.com
Nancy Pierce Photography
I met Nancy years ago in a Photo Journalism class at the University of Minnesota. Nancy has become a very successful magazine and newspaper photographer. She wanted to create a unique website that her local Internet Service Provider said couldn’t be done. We did it anyway. An important consideration: Everything can be modified with the simple substitution of one image for another. nancypiercephoto.com
Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert
These are among the best summer camps in the world. It’s a family owned business that includes the camps and Grand View Lodge in the Brainerd Lakes area of Minnesota, and Tanque Verde Ranch in Arizona. The camps offer kids from around the world an opportunity to excel in a wide variety of activities in a safe, respectful environment. About half the summer staff are from outside of the United States creating a rich cultural environment. Best of all, the camps are dedicated to fun. I was a counselor from 1972 – 1975, and have been producing a yearly marketing video for the past ten years. Don’t tell anyone, but this is my favorite project.
Solid Wood Products
A few years ago my good friend Jim Finseth asked me to make a new website for his company, Solid Wood Products.
He thought he was a cabinet maker. I suggest that he was an artist. After photographing his projects one Saturday in January, I came up with the “Fine Wood Artist” tagline and developed the website using the new marketing theme.
This is the last Flash-based website I produced. Unfortunately it will not work on iPads or iPhones.
